Tuberculosis Conference 2007

Considering that one of the priorities on tropical diseases research is related with the development and implementation of health policies and research systems that may improve the use of the existent scientific knowledge, the "A Collaborative Solution for Tropical Diseases: The Luso-American Response" project began with an initiative entitled "Conference-Debate on Tuberculosis: The Luso-American Response".

The "Conference-Debate on Tuberculosis: The Luso-American Response" provided a forum for researchers in the areas of diagnostics, treatment, and prevention of tuberculosis working on or in Africa, namely Lusophone African countries, to network and coordinate their efforts in fighting critical problems caused by tuberculosis.

The conference brought together distinguished invited speakers from prestigious international institutions as well as researchers doing work in the above mentioned areas that were selected by the Call for Abstracts.
